Name: John Dee
Gender: Male
Age: 46
Appearance: Click to see JohnPersonality: Ruthless and without a care for anyone but himself, John is determined to succeed with finding the secret to the powers that TSR's wards are gifted with. However, everything he does has a gentlemanly air about him, even when he's ordering the testing and experimenting on of the teens, children and adults that they had abducted. He's a first-rate liar and a wonderful actor. If it ever appears that he cares for anyone but himself, it is an act, solely for the purpose of manipulating the person he's behaving that way towards. His temper is sometimes his downfall, it is not often set off, not easily, but he expects his orders to be obeyed without question when it comes to TSR. His temper is a touchy thing, should he get angry, he may either fire a man, or fire a bullet into the man. It's nothing that is predictable, how his temper is relieved but it's usually not pretty or nice.
Strengths: John is a master of words, can twist nearly anything in his favor. Physically, he's stronger than many men his age but he hasn't got the strength capabilities of the armed guards that patrol TSR's halls ways. He is highly skilled with a gun though he rarely uses one, he has hired soldiers for that. Though he does always carry it on his person.
Weaknesses: He is overconfident, cocky at times. He doesn't wait for approval for anything, especially because TSR was built and funded from his own money, with little to no government involvement at the start. He suffers from motion sickness in any vehicle he hasn't specifically had built for his own comfort.
Fears: Death, losing TSR, losing the little funding he needs from the government
History: John Dee was not born a wealthy man, he was in fact the simple son of a construction worker. He went to school, middle school, high school, relatively quickly. His fascination in science and history earned him a college scholarship however his father disproved. Regardless of that fact, he went on to college with a double major, science and business management with no knowledge of how useful it would be in his future. It was there he met the young woman who would become his wife, studying a major in History.
During his third year at college, he received word that his father had died of a heart attack while at work. He and Eve, his future wife, went to the funeral and while he didn't mourn, he felt that there was something strange about his fathers death though he'd never be able to find out or prove anything.
Once they returned to college and graduated, they were quickly married and had their first, and only, child withing their first year. Dee started a small business while Eve worked at nearby museum as curator. They all grew close, as families often do until his daughter, aged six by that time, grew angry with her parents. A knife rose from the kitchen counter and pierced through her mothers heart with surprising accuracy. John, bearing witness to this, attacked his daughter, knocking her unconscious before holding his dying wife. She bore her child no ill will, even though it had been the girl who had killed her. The moment his wife died, he pierced his daughter through the heart with the knife she had used on Eve and he felt no remorse. Whereas his wife bore her no ill will, he did and would never forgive or forget the event on that day.
He buried his wife and child, reporting to the police that he had seen a man leaving the house. His arrival startling him and leaving before his family had actually died, and he'd held them. His art as a liar was phenomenal, the police spending years searching for the man but never looking towards John himself.
He spent years looking into the phenomenon that had caused his wives death and discovered that many children were being born with similar abilities across the world over the recent years. Most were locked away in asylums by their families, others left abandoned or to be adopted while others still kept their children with them. It was then that Dee shut down his business and began development on TSR: The Technical Studies and Research center. He began by abducting the children nearest TSR and locking them away in the facility. With what was left of the money he had brought in from his business and what was left from his wife working at the museum, he hired armed guards and began working with the government. He promised them such results that they could use what they discovered on soldiers, creating an army unmatched from anyone, anywhere. He received funding soon after and had enough scientists to get to work on the strange powers these children possessed.
However, several of the scientists were privy to his intentions. They were working on completely obliterating the powers in the next generations. While he despised these powers that had been in apart, been responsible for Eve's death, he didn't deny the usefulness of the powers and didn't hesitate to have several of the abducted children trained in their favor.
