Transient Estate

Deep in the woods lies a strange estate
Rather than one you can enter via the gate
Its boundless halls have no ordinary entrance
You can enter only by chance or at your expense
Within it lies denizens most strange
Living through time, many do not change
They find and give access on but a whim
Your likelihood of finding it can be great or slim
It is a large manor filled with butlers and maids
Those who intrude uninvited are payed back in spades.
The lord of that place, a strange one indeed,
He lives quite forever, tending to read
He likes to talk for hours, years and weeks
Even quite often to mute things he speaks
And at times he listens for indefinite periods
To what, these are questions asked in myriads
It's a place with many doors, none of which neccesarily lead,
to where they did before, it's puzzling indeed.
And strangest of all, is where this mansion resides
It moves more oft than a weed caught on the tides.
At times in the sky, oft on the ground,
Sometimes on the sea, sometimes nowhere to be found.
