Legend of Zelda: Darkness Returns

Several hundred years after Ganondorf was last defeated, Hyrule seems to have prospered into a completely peaceful culture...

But a foul wind blows once more. The King of Darkness returns, bringing together his dark armies once more. The Triforce of Power once more falls into his hands as destiny once more repeats, however... Using Ancient Magicks, the Golden Goddesses: Din, Farore and Nayru are summoned to the lands of Hyrule for the first time since they created the lands. Before more could be done, the Goddesses combined their powers to summon forth the Hero of Time. Before the spell could be completed, their powers are sealed away, separate from their bodies and they are forced into frail, Hylian bodies before being sent to the farthest corners of the land, far from each other and their powers.

The interruption of their summoning causes the Hero to be summoned in a different way than ever before. The Hero is born into the body of a young woman. Before a fatal attack could be brought down on her, she is taken away to safety by a great light, not unlike one a sage might create.

Seeing the great threat rising against Hyrule, Princess Zelda prepares to fight and evacuates as much of Hyrule Castle Town and the Castle as possible.

Without the Goddesses to oversee Hyrule and the increasing threat from Ganondorf and his army, things can't seem to get any worse until the seal surrounding the Four Sword seems to weaken. Things only seem to be getting worse...

In these dire times, can Hyrule be saved? Or is it doomed to centuries of darkness?

Princess Zelda Nayrina Hyrule, matriarch of the kingdom of Hyrule, was standing on the battlements of Hyrule Castle. She looked out at the once-active city. Wisdom had demanded that she evacuate as much of the castle and its town as possible. The lack of activity unnerved the young woman, it felt as if things were already decided and she was looking upon the future of her kingdom. Wisdom thought otherwise. The Triforce in her hand glowed palely, catching her eye. She had done the right thing, to protect her people and she knew it.

She had ordered the army be prepared, armed with new equipment and trained at every available opportunity. Zelda hoped it would be enough. The borders surrounding Hyrule, things seemed restless there, but there were no signs of a coming invasion.

"Maybe... we're looking to far into this. Perhaps it's just civil unrest." The princess turned to her adviser, her blue eyes looking saddened.

Historian steps quietly out of the darkness behind her advisor, the markings on his face visible in the light.

"Perhaps, but more likely it's time for your training."

Looking into Zelda's eyes he continues.

"I have obtained the object you sought."

He then stares penetratingly at the advisors, waiting for them to leave.

"Yes, I suppose it is time." Zelda said, as she turned towards Historian. As he spoke again, and the advisers got uncomfortable under his stare, the princess nodded to them. They left quickly, quicker than she knew them to usually.

"You found it? Where?" She asked, as soon as the area was clear.

He grins, "does it matter?" He then opens his cloak, and a young girl about the same age as Zelda comes tumbling out.

Dark Link trips a passerby & laughs at him.

Falling forward she ;ays on the floor staring up at the maiden named Zelda wide-eyed.
Getting back up and regaining posture she kisses Zeldas hand"Hello,it's very nice to meet you"she says having no memory of who Zelda is.Recognizing her as a seemingly developed woman,she thinks to herself how this woman must definetly be older than her.That or she herself is just so under developed.Letting out a soft sigh she smiles at Zelda warmly.

Dark Link: *wanders into the room & sees everyone* Shocked

Oh, shit! *quickly hides in the hallway* What are those people doing here? This place was supposed to have been evacuated an hour ago! *sighs* It seems looting the castle may have to wait a little longer.

"It's quite the pleasure to meet you as well. What is your name, young lady?" Zelda asked kindly as she looked the girl over. She appeared to be a bit younger than the princess but younger did not mean less capable, Zelda had learned that when she was younger.

"Please, try to make yourself comfortable. The rest of Castle Town may be evacuating, but I must remain to keep the rest of the kingdom intact. So we won't be quite as tended to as we might normally be." She glances towards the doorway, sure she saw someone but shook her head. The guards would not allow someone so far into the castle.

Dark Link: Damn, I'll have to try another room.

He goes off in search of the treasury.
